Lindsey Fillingham grew up in South Africa and read music at the University of Cape Town before moving to Manchester to obtain an MMus at the Royal Northern College of Music (2011). She has played with top orchestras including the Hallé, Orchestra of the Swan and the Cape Philharmonic, and has performed as a soloist with the Johannesburg Philharmonic and the University of Cape Town Symphony orchestras.
Kent-born clarinettist Dean Wood has studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and the University of Nottingham. He's very excited to expand his education work with soundSPARK, and previous experience has been in workshop leading with Trinity Laban and the Pente Ensemble, section tutor for the South London Youth Orchestra with various other pursuits alongside his private teaching.
Rob has recorded with a wide range of bands across London, most recently with Femi Temowo on his third album, The Music is the Feeling. Before this came a recording with Parlimentary Jazz Award winners, Engines Orchestra, on their debut album, Life Cycles. Other recordings include his own project, Southbound, along with appearances on Jack Davies’ Flea Circus album and The Jack Davies Big Band album.
Gennie is a freelance clarinettist and bass clarinettist who performs with many orchestras and chamber groups around London. Currently principal bass clarinettist of Engines Orchestra, she has recorded an award-winning album with the ensemble and has performed at many of London’s top venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, St John's Smith Square, London Jazz Festival, and on BBC Radio 3.
